Comprehensive services to grow your family

You should never feel alone in your fertility challenges. In fact, 1 in 6 couples struggle to conceive. During your initial consultation you and your provider will discuss your family-building goals and medical history. If you have a partner, they are strongly encouraged to attend the visit. Once fertility testing is completed, you will collaboratively decide on the best path forward.

Many paths, one shared purpose

Your team is committed to creating a treatment plan built on your unique needs—whether that’s IVF, IUI, or one of our many other service options.

In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) involves retrieving eggs from the ovaries and fertilizing them in a lab with sperm from a partner or donor to develop embryos. An embryo is then placed into a uterus with the goal of pregnancy.

Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) is a treatment that involves inserting sperm from a partner or donor directly into the uterus during the most fertile time in your cycle. This increases the chance that the sperm will fertilize the egg and result in pregnancy.

Pacific Northwest Fertility's Center for Recurrent Pregnancy Loss has helped hundreds of patients successfully conceive after loss. If you’ve experienced two or more miscarriages, treatment for recurrent pregnancy loss could help. PNWF is highly experienced in evaluating recurrent miscarriage and determining which treatment is best to prevent future losses.

Genetic testing with Pacific Northwest Fertility involves running tests on each embryo before transferring to a uterus. This may help to increase the chances of a healthy pregnancy by reducing the risk of implanting an embryo with genetic abnormalities. This process can also decrease chances of miscarriage, which is often associated with chromosomal issues in the embryo.

Male infertility is a common contributing factor to a couple’s inability to conceive. Approximately 50% of all infertility is associated with sperm quality or quantity issues. Infertility is complex, and it's important to test and treat sperm issues. The first step is a semen analysis to determine sperm quality and quantity. From there, we can determine if there are further underlying issues and how to address them.

Egg freezing is a process in which eggs are retrieved from the ovaries and preserved for future use. You may choose to delay parenthood for any number of reasons, whether it’s a current medical issue, professional goals, family medical history, or simply a desire to have a child later in life. Our Center for Fertility Preservation is committed to offering the most advanced egg freezing options available.

You deserve a medical team that understands your unique fertility needs. We tailor each treatment plan to the specific needs of the patient, whether we’re working with a same-sex couple, transgender patient, or someone who desires single parenthood. There are so many options for building your family your own way. PNWF is a proud leader in inclusive care, and our Center for LGBTQ+ Fertility was the first center dedicated to LGBTQ+ fertility in the Northwest.

Using donor eggs can be an option for anyone without healthy eggs, including same-sex male couples. Donor eggs can be obtained from a frozen egg bank or used fresh immediately after they are retrieved from the donor. When undergoing IVF with donor eggs, the donated eggs are fertilized and a single embryo is then placed into the uterus of the person carrying the pregnancy. Deciding to use an egg donor can be an emotionally complex step, and our Center for Collaborative Reproduction is here to support you every step of the way.

In surrogacy an embryo is placed into the uterus of a gestational carrier (also known as a surrogate), who will carry the pregnancy. The gestational carrier isn’t genetically related to the child. Surrogacy can be a path to parenthood for patients who cannot carry a pregnancy, including LGBTQ+ couples.

How it Works

New patients begin with a consultation with an expert Pacific Northwest Fertility provider. Your consultation will take place virtually, so you can conveniently start your care wherever you are. During this meeting you and your doctor will discuss your goals, fertility challenges, and the testing needed to move toward a diagnosis and next steps.

The next step is testing, which may involve bloodwork, ultrasound, uterine imaging, and a semen analysis. Testing is conducted in-person at our Bellevue and/or Seattle clinic.

After your testing we will schedule a follow-up appointment with your doctor or one of our advanced practice providers. During this next appointment you’ll discuss the results and a potential diagnosis. After this, you and your doctor will work collaboratively on selecting a treatment plan that fits your unique needs.

Our financing team is here to ensure that fertility treatment is as accessible for you as possible. They will meet with you as needed to discuss your insurance coverage and other options if you do not have coverage.

Once your doctor has determined a treatment plan, our team of experts will lay out a schedule and coordinate every aspect of your care. With Pacific Northwest Fertility you will always have a supportive network behind you, pushing toward your success.

You’ve got questions, we’ve got answers.

Every patient has different family-building goals, and what’s right for one may not be right for another. We usually recommend fertility testing if you have been trying to conceive for 12 months without success, or 6 months if you are over the age of 35.

In vitro fertilization (IVF) is one of the treatment options we offer and is a great choice for a wide variety of patients. IVF might be right for you if you’re experiencing tubal issues, male infertility, fibroids, genetic disorders, endometriosis, or unexplained infertility.

Yes! We offer comprehensive services for same-sex couples and transgender and non-binary patients looking to grow their families. We are committed to offering compassionate and personalized care to all people. We specialize in LGBTQ+ care, founded the Northwest’s first LGBTQ+ fertility center, and our network has built more families for same-sex couples around the globe than any other fertility group.

The price of fertility treatment varies widely depending on your unique needs. Head to our financing page to learn more about what to expect.
