For the first time, Newsweek has published a list of the best fertility clinics in the US. The list uses extensive research to assess clinics based on key performance indicators, accreditation, and expert peer evaluations. Out of the 100 clinics named, PNWF ranks #19 in the country and #1 in Washington state.
Overall, we hope this list will serve as an important patient resource. While average success rates for fertility clinics are readily available, this data can be difficult for patients to interpret. In contrast, this list provides a more holistic assessment option, combining objective data with quality evaluations from fertility professionals.
How Did Newsweek Determine the Best Fertility Clinic in Washington?
The rankings use a combination of metrics set by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), accreditations, and the results of a national survey of fertility professionals. Global research firm Statista asked over 3,000 reproductive endocrinologists, infertility specialists, OB/GYNs, fertility clinic administrators, and other medical professionals working in the fertility field to assess and rank fertility clinics across the country. During this survey, participants recommended notable fertility clinics, and rated each clinic based on the quality of their:
- Diagnosis of fertility problems
- Treatment of fertility problems
- Fertility counseling
- Accommodations & services
- Overall nurse staffing
Participants could not recommend their own fertility clinic, allowing for a neutral assessment based on professional expertise. When combined with data from the CDC’s, this expert input ranked PNWF #19 in the nation. This position also makes it the best fertility clinic in Washington.
