Darcy Broughton, MD
Dr. Broughton completed her fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at Washington University in St. Louis in 2018 and returned home to the Pacific Northwest to join the PNWF family. In fellowship she helped to run an interdisciplinary clinic for patients with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, and she maintains a passion for helping patients manage this chronic condition. Her research in fellowship focused on the effect of Zika virus on the ovary, for which she was awarded the prize paper by the Pacific Coast Reproductive Society.
She is a current Board Member of the Seattle Gynecology Society, and a member of the LGBTQIA+ special interest group in the American Society of Reproductive Medicine. She feels lucky to participate in resident training and education for both Ob/Gyn and Family Medicine residents in Seattle.
Dr. Broughton has dedicated herself to helping members of the LGBTQIA+ community build their families. In 2018 she published one of the few existing research papers on the outcomes of transgender persons undergoing IVF. With the legalization of compensated surrogacy in Washington State, she is thrilled to be able to help more male couples pursue parenthood and represents PNWF at the Men Having Babies conference annually.
Dr. Broughton is from Bremerton and is a proud Washington native. She left the state to pursue medical school at Brown University and complete her residency at Oregon Health and Sciences University in Portland. She is a huge Seahawks fan and a proud Oregon Duck fan in a world of Huskies! She loves exploring Northwest wine country and spending time with her family, including three young nephews.
