Hanh Nguyen Cottrell, MD
Hanh Nguyen Cottrell, MD, FACOG is a double board-certified reproductive endocrinologist and infertility specialist. With a strong academic foundation and extensive clinical experience, she is committed to providing compassionate, personalized care that addresses both the medical and emotional aspects of fertility treatment. She has special interest in caring for patients with polycystic ovary syndrome, endometriosis and unexplained infertility.
Dr. Cottrell graduated with high honors and thesis distinction from the University of Michigan, earning her Bachelor of Science in Biopsychology and Cognitive Science. She went on to complete her medical degree at the University of Toledo College of Medicine and her residency at the University of Toledo Medical Center and Toledo Hospital. She pursued fellowship training in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at Emory University School of Medicine, where she developed advanced expertise in fertility preservation, in vitro fertilization, and complex fertility care.
Before joining PNWF in 2023, Dr. Cottrell practiced as a fertility specialist at IVF Michigan and Ohio Fertility Centers in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and served as a core faculty member at Trinity St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor. She is passionate about building strong relationships with her patients and believes that exceptional fertility care comes from blending clinical excellence with a deep understanding of each patient’s unique journey. She believes your fertility care is a collective experience that requires clear guidance and support.
Dr. Cottrell has been recognized for her clinical and academic contributions, receiving the Daniel G. McMurtrie MD Award, the Philip S. Willis Award, and the distinction of being a Gates Millennium Scholar. She is fluent in conversational Vietnamese.
Dr. Cottrell was born in the heart of Los Angeles, California and raised in the Midwest. She enjoys live music, embracing nature and exploring new restaurants and hotels with her partner, kids and their dog. The art of writing, poetry and photography excites her. Living in the Pacific Northwest has been an adventure. She is delighted to continue building connections in Seattle.
