Fertility Surgery
Overview
Fertility surgery can be an important part of optimizing care for our PNWF patients. Most procedures are minimally invasive and are performed in an outpatient which allows you to recover comfortably in your own home. We know that preparing for and learning you need surgery can make you nervous, but we will only recommend it if we feel it is essential for your care and we will walk you through the entire process with compassion.

Process and Options
Procedures for Our Female Patients
Many causes of infertility may be addresses surgically. We treat fibroids, uterine polyps, uterine scarring (Asherman’s syndrome), endometriosis, and more with surgical procedures to optimize fertility. The surgeries are almost always minimally invasive hysteroscopies or laparoscopies. The doctors at PNWF perform many of these procedures but will also partner with gynecologists and pelvic surgeon specialists to find the best treatment for your personal situation.
Procedures for Our Male Patients
Some male factor infertility can be addressed with surgical procedures. These procedures can include repair of a varicocele (a dilated vein in the scrotum that sometimes causes poor sperm parameters), testicular biopsy of sperm, and vasectomy reversal surgery. The doctors at PNWF do not perform male fertility procedures and always partner with urology fertility experts to find the right treatment for your care.
