Welcome to the Center for LGBTQ+ Fertility at PNWF
The First Center Dedicated to Inclusive Fertility Care in Seattle
Pacific NW Fertility is proud to announce our latest specialty center: the Center for LGBTQ+ Fertility, the first and only center dedicated to fertility options for same-sex couples, gay and lesbian singles, and gender-diverse people in Seattle.
PNWF was founded with the mission of providing superior fertility care to all individuals, as well as increasing access to care for those often overlooked or excluded from traditional services. Previously, PNWF has led the field by pioneering specialty centers such as the Centers for Collaborative Reproduction, Fertility Preservation and Recurrent Pregnancy Loss. The addition of the Center for LGBTQ+ Fertility formalizes our passion for inclusive family building and fertility preservation.
Compassionate Care From Expert Providers
The Center is directed by Drs. Darcy Broughton and Stephanie Rothenberg, board certified obstetricians and gynecologists and practicing reproductive endocrinologists and infertility specialists. The Program Supervisor is Alyssa Schoenemann, RN, BS, BBN. Both Drs. Broughton and Rothenberg have dedicated their research to LGBTQ+ family building and fertility preservation, and have worked to bring about the Center for LGBTQ+ Fertility at PNWF since they joined the clinic. “Even now, barriers exist for the LGBTQ+ community in accessing sensitive fertility care, and we are passionate about addressing this need” says Dr. Broughton.
Comprehensive LGBTQ+ Fertility Services
These comprehensive services include:
- Donor sperm intrauterine insemination
- Donor egg in vitro fertilization (IVF)
- Shared maternity and shared IVF
- Gestational surrogacy
- Fertility preservation options for transgender or non-binary patients
Personalized and Inclusive Fertility Care for the LGBTQ+ Community
LGBTQ+ couples and individuals face unique considerations along their family building journeys. The Center for LGBTQ+ Fertility is designed to address those specific needs and serve as a leading resource for our local community. “We hope that the creation of the Center for LGBTQ+ Fertility increases access to excellent fertility and fertility preservation care,” says Dr. Rothenberg. “We are excited to provide personalized and comfortable care for all those in the LGBTQ+ community.”
