Stephanie Rothenberg, MD
Stephanie Rothenberg, MD, FACOG is a double board-certified reproductive endocrinologist and infertility specialist dedicated to providing compassionate and comprehensive fertility care. With a focus on fertility preservation and LGBTQ+ family-building, Dr. Rothenberg is passionate about helping patients achieve their goals.
A Washington native, Dr. Rothenberg earned her medical degree from the University of Washington’s School of Medicine. She completed both her residency in obstetrics and gynecology and her fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Magee-Womens Hospital. During her training, she gained advanced expertise in infertility management, in vitro fertilization, complex hysteroscopy, and medical ethics. She was also honored with multiple awards for her laparoscopic surgical skills, compassionate care, and excellence in teaching.
Since coming to PNWF in 2019, Dr. Rothenberg has gained recognition for her compassionate and inclusive care. She co-founded PNWF’s Center for LGBTQ+ Fertility, the first dedicated LGBTQ+ family-building center in the US in 2021. Dr. Rothenberg has a special interest in fertility preservation, particularly for trans and non-binary patients. She has been named one of Seattle’s top doctors by Seattle Met Magazine.
Dr. Rothenberg’s research in transgender fertility preservation has been published in prestigious journals, including The New England Journal of Medicine and Pediatrics. She is an active member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, the Seattle Gynecologic Society, and RESOLVE.
Outside of work, Dr. Rothenberg enjoys time with her spouse and taking care of tiny humans, dogs and lots of plants.
