PNWF Approach
Gestational Carriers, sometimes called surrogates, help patients build their families. These carriers go through a full screening process before they are matched with the intended parents. Subsequently, a genetically unrelated embryo is transferred into the carrier’s uterus.
With many people involved in each case, these cycles can be complicated, but we have team members that are exclusively focused on carrier cycles and bring their own expertise to each coordination.
Process & Options
Some patients use their own eggs and sperm to create the embryos. In other cases, patients use donated eggs from our Donor Egg Program and/or donor sperm from one of the many reputable sperm banks across the country. PNWF also works with single men and gay male couples, utilizing gestational carriers to start or grow their families.
Carriers are either found via a recommended surrogacy agency or are considered compassionate carriers—a friend or family member of the intended parents.
